Looks like the 300R's are going to run good on all the 21 Liberators. This was the first time out on this boat and it was very windy. More speed to come!

Mercury says they did not change anything, but the weight, prop, setup, etc is exactly the same. I'm hoping the boat will pick up about 4 mph based on a couple other boats I know of running the V8's. The 300R is about 3K more than the 300xs. I hope it's worth it, but then again, we have no other choice! I will be running a variety of 32" and 34" props.

I know 8-10 people with DBR mods, and not a single one even gained 1 mph. That's just what I've been told. I did have a pair of DBR modded 300xs motors and they ran the exact same speed as stock motors.

Joe and I will post videos later

A grab bag of data from Wildman's test series comparing the 300XS to the 300R. Not sure if there was other data later into this year.
