Good story of the boat's history. Mark is about quality workmanship and the rest just happens.

First of all in the rough the boat devours waves, huge waves....waves that would have broken my Hydrostream in 2 without question. Secondly in the calm, with a 28" Bravo 1 XS the boat has run a best of 92 MPH, with a 29" Promax the boat has run 95 before I ran out of lake/nerves. Here are some pics of it this summer, other than the 300xs and 4" of extra setback its just as it was when it was built.
You did a very nice job pulling together the history. Boat looks fantastic and pretty interesting to see it run 95mph against the new versions 106mph. Impressive for the old girl!

Duuude.. People slept on this boat for years! Today's boating magazine did a whole write up on that old scorpion resto that Mark did back in 2001-2002ish. It was for sale everytime I wasnt looking for a new ride! It was at Port Sandfield with a little merc on it forever. You have a gem and I am happy for ya! Mark is a gentlemen.

Appreciate the kind words guys - I think I got lucky on this one. I've seen that article in the past but can't locate it anymore. If anyone has it please post it up.

I don’t understand how the 21 tuff is so fast, even a 21 challenger rebuilt by tuff is still faster than my progression.

Very nice boat you have!! love Tuff Boats in a big big way! You probably have the most unique Tuff ever built with historical value and glad you had the sense to do what was right for her as she will treat you well for your efforts in restoring her beauty back to the grand piece she was meant to be.

Awesome boat, I'm drooling. Did Mark know the weight of this particular hull? Aren't the new ones around 950lbs?

I never asked what it weighed, but the sides and deck are cored so I can't imagine it's light. I'm running ning a total of 10" of setback now which seems to work well. I know alot of guys run 12 - 18" but I don't think it needs it.

Setup and ability to get one "up on the pad" make a huge difference. I had a guy with a very similar Progression to mine swear that he couldn't get over 66 MPH (on GPS) out of his. Mine runs 77 on GPS.
