cheap skimmer transducer without drilling transom?
So my recreational boat:
I have this black and white Lowrance sonar with a basic skimmer transducer that I'm not using. I think it would be fun to put it on this^^^ boat just to have depth and temperature. But I don't want to drill the transom. This is NOT a show quality boat. I want to glue something to the transom and screw the transducer to that. Not sure what material to use, or what glue to use. I've heard I could use a square of marine plywood, and stick it on with liquid nails (urethane, water tolerant). But if that's not the way to go, I want suggestions from you guys. Also heard that composite window sill works.

Next time in the water, Put some water in the bilge and see if it will "shoot thru" the hull. If you have no core on the keel in the bilge area it should. I have lowrance and it works very well inside the boat

My elcheapo transducer install involved sanding the gel with 600, sand ducer mount surface with 220,cleaning both with acetone, glue using really high temp hot glue. That was 5 years and 200 hours ago.
