Think about how the water flows from the center and outward from center. Each spray or leverage of water leaving the strake, hits the next one perfectly. Since it is doing so with velocity and airflow, it creates a greater lift in an upward/outward motion. This gives the hull excellent stability and control at higher speeds.

I’d love to see this in a sport deck.

Kind of a long story lol,
The guys who tried to partner up with us last year were trying to take control of the company. Once they realized we weren't going to allow that, they took everything they had paid for in the shop during the middle of the night, with no phone call. They had just started rigging and hadn't gotten the motors even mounted, or the Bobs double jack plumbed, and struggled for months just to do that afterward. They of course couldn't get the boat to run correctly. They closed their new shop months ago and sold everything for pennies, they lost a ton of $ in the end. Definitely an unfortunate situation, the vision for an offshore fishing 28' true catamaran is still there, and will happen down the line, probably with the fishing deck looking more like our 21' as well as a sport deck, and then possibly an offshore deck like above if all goes well.
Thankfully, Lanier Custom Boats is still going strong with our 21', and Todd Defilipps with Mike Bethan have been racing a custom 28' carbon fiber LCB hull that they built, that we hope to start molds for once the design is fully dialed in for racing. Keep an eye on the Super Stock class for the closing Florida races!! It's a much cleaner design as well, brought to 2019 compared to the 80s Cougar the boat above was based off of.
