Done with big boats and back to a Hydrostream

After years of messing with big boats, last one being a 42' Fountain with triple 675 hp normally aspirated big blocks, I'm back to enjoying life on a lot smaller scale. Current boats are a 19' Trophy center console with a 200 Optimax and this 18' Vking with a 2.4 EFI Bridgeport under that XRi 150 Bass cowl. Gonna launch her this weekend for the first time. She's got a brand new core, floor, and carpet. I have a few plans for her but they can wait til winter. Previously had 17' Vector and another 18' Vking but this one should be the fastest yet.

    Nice

You really need to sand the runs out of the paint on the topside.

    Cool !!!

I've thought of doing the same thing myself. My first "fast" boat was my dad's Hydrostream Vasseret w/ a ProV 200 Yamaha. From there, eventually went to twin engine cats ( AO 26, Spectre 30, Talon 22, Skater 28 ) with 3 Allisons and a STV Euro in the mix as well. The bigger boats are fun, but the simplistic nature of the Hydrostream, or Allison for that matter, is tempting. Maybe a nice Tritoon and another Allison or Hydostream for my speed fix will be next.

BTW - the Fountain 35 or 42 Lightening is by far my favorite bigger V - I'd like to own one of those too before I die. LOL.
