Blown Motor over Easter Wknd, on 25' CC Tiara Pursuit. Don't know to much about motor or what actually caused the failure.
Had co. perform quit a lot of maintenance last fall. Ran great for a 3 trips last fall and a hour before failure. Pictures inc.
Any help on this would be appreciated.

Threw a rod. Looks like the paint is cooked off the heads, how long did you keep running it once the horn went off? I guess it don’t matter now!

It is a 1986 or newer. That block 1st came out in 1086 as a 2.7L 200hp

No alarm had sounded, ran smooth for that hour till I slowed her down from open water about 35 mph to hit channel. Work the speed up slow, started smooth and warmed 20 mins up before headed out. Ill ck that alarm, even if late. Thanks. Had boat for 12yr. take it out about two dozens time a year, if. I start it up in driveway if lake is unavailable, trailer it most the time, this year was planning to dock up at islands for walleye. Not now. Thanks for the time. Possibly an oil injection failure. I’m not familiar with the oil alarms on those...

85 or newer.....3.6 8 cyl. Got 2 of 'em. One with gear reduction starter as in pic and one with a bear of a factory starter, I think.Too big in diameter to believe! Pipe dream at the time!

The oil mixing been gone years before I bought it, 50:1 in gas tank for last my 12yrs.+ least 7yrs. his. Hole is bigger because we pulled the cracked fragments out. Org.1/3 size shown.
