    Gag Order Lifted Today

    From Bullet Boats:

OK Guys, the big question today is undoubtedly what kind of numbers we saw on our Bullet 21SST at Lake X with the new Mercury 300 Racing 4 stroke motor? Well the gag order has been lifted so here is a little insight. This is a very stout motor and the 1.75 gears posed a bit of a challenge for us in getting the correct prop without hitting the limiter. All of the regular props we normally use found the rev limiter before a real topped number could be exposed, however, Mercury did provide a custom made 34p CNC prop that produced a very respectable 103MPH. This was with 2 people and fuel, but no fishing load and no water in the live wells. We are very optimistic that this number will get higher with more testing with different props, but our bigger objective will be to find the correct prop and setup needed to make this combination a feared competitor on tournament day. We will be doing several more hours of testing here at Bullet Boats to get a better idea of what this boat will do with the 250 Pro XS on the 21SST as well as the 21XRS under a normal fishing load. As always, we strive to produce our customers with one of the best built boats in the industry and we hope to provide the most helpful and accurate information we can to insure you get complete "TOTAL PERFORMANCE" with this new line of Mercury outboards. Again, we would like to thank Mercury for picking Bullet Boats as one of the test subjects for this exciting new line of outboards.

I can remember when the 300ProMax came out and Bass and Walleye did a shootout with different boats. The 21ft Bullet went 102! Just sayin!

Depends which Bullet the Promax ran on. The 20 is much faster than the 21, which is closer to 22ft. I want to see a comparison to the 300xs.

That Bullet is an absolute beast. I drove it and it's very impressive. I want one of these for a photo boat now. Just an extremely impressive package.

I'll make a bet/guarantee that the 4stroker has so much torque in comparison......that they'll end up with 1.62's or even 1.50's and then they'll be able to run smaller props and they'll be smokin'!!!!!!
I'll run my 2strokerz as long as I live but the capabilities are certainly there as long as the weight's kept down!!!
When that happens you'll see a whole line of props come out without PVS holes!!!

Make no mistake, I am a two-stroke person through and through.

But these new four-strokes from Mercury are in an entirely new league. I'm going to be posting up
video shortly. You'll love the way they sound with the switchable exhaust. I really think Mercury hit it out of the park with these engines.

It will be stupid fast Jim. My guess is that you will get that boat to run mid 20s- I just want a single one for the LCB. Fast times are coming for sure but we will have to really consider the safety factor with all of this-I am looking forward to it.

To match rpm’s of 1.74 and a 34” wheel with a 27” you have to go all the way to 1.36!
