Yes he loves it, we have gone to every Guitar center and Sam Ash in central Florida from Tampa to Daytona so he can play different guitars he is already on the hunt for his next one, he loves playing and my wife and I love watching him, only thing is he loves thrash, death and nu Metal. I took him to see Slayer and now we have tickets For Knot Fest, I am a little more mellow on my music but it keeps him off the streets and he is a straight A student in all advanced courses in High school.

Well it's common for someone young to be into metal. I bet as he grows older he will come to appreciate the groups you listen to.
Get him some Megadeth. Their lyrics are more about politics from a libertarian and conservative view and also have lyrics about life. Mega is some seriously good music and not just for metal music.
I'm more of a blues based rock and prog. rock guy but I enjoy a lot of different types of music.
Lying In State
What we are witnessing is the decline of western civilization
Crushing our potential and piling it on, how will history portray us?
Attack the family, attack their faith and dreams
Attack the body and the head will fall
A lasting legacy or ruin brought in haste?
The enemy of truth is lying there in state
Another day, another manufactured crisis keeping the people distracted
There's no one playing by the rules anymore, how will history portray us?
A broken backbone with nothing left to lose?
That hate the sight of all the ones that do?
A lasting legacy or ruin brought in haste?
The enemy of truth is lying there in state
A shiny new agenda, birthed from a depraved mind
Of failing us on purpose, to culturally sanitize
Its opiates for the masses under cloak as hope and change
The new normal or just more of the same?
The perfect plan
Must have an alibi
And the perfect pawn
To spew the party line
Of the perfect falsehood
Spoke a thousand times
The perfect words
Cover the greatest crime
Hell is turning itself inside out
To lead its path up to meet us
And we deliberately take
A step, one foot closer to the grace
And the leader of the band Dave Mustaine has even found God.

The lead guitar for Slayer, Kerry King, was a member of Megadeth for a short while.
