    And yes, torque.

    450 hp = 950 lbs

    twin 225's = 900 - 1200 lbs depending on breed.
twins are dragging two gear cases too.
    double rigging etc.

    twin 450's = 1900 lbs

    quad 225's = 1800 - 2400 lbs and a mess in rigging.

the comparison to the 400r is a stupid one.

    corvette to Cummins dually
I agree 100%. Just saw a monster center console cat going down the road....had to have been 42’..... it had four v6 Suzuki’s on it. Twin 425’s might work better on that boat.

I bet you see a bunch of these things eventually.

I’m not sure about aimed towards less motors. They seem to be aimed to more motors. That’s the reason behind the 35” offering as well as the integrated electric assist power steering. Seems like they’re trying to simplify rigging trips and quads...

If you’re rigging twins, trips, or quads on a 35-50’ offshore rig I don’t think you’ll be flinching at that price!

I'm having one of those scary crystal ball moments.....ahead in the future after all of us have squeezed every bit of life out of our 2.5's, there'll be us hydrostream, stv, mirage, allison, etc etc... boats hangin super low in the transom with some 500lb 115 hp 4 stroker topping out at a whopping 35mph.

Let's all take a moment to remember the days of hopping in the boat and hearing that old black max chug to life and haul ass!

At least we won’t have to worry about rotten cores at 35 mph...
