If not for this site and those that take the time to post and share there knowledge i would not be Screaming and sort of Flying.Every boat i have ever owned is a fixer upper and i am by no means a marine mechanic...nor can i afford to have a marine mech in my back pocket.I also have to give props (pun intended) to the market place,it has been a life saver also.

You are speaking my language. I love this site and read more than I post. Budget boating (screaming and not necessarily flyin) is where I am. Its awesome to look at some of the rigs people have but I rely on the knowledge and parts from this site to keep my junk running.

    2 s vs 4s - fishing 15-35 miles offshore by my self
I was carrying boxes of spare parts and tools to be sure I could get home, figured out I could sell
A coue of my old 2.5s and buy a new 5 year warranty and totally dependable 150 4s 3 lt for even money - I now have 2 of the 4s 150s
Still love the 2.5s but doesn't make any sense for me anymore, with that said if a cheap0 2.5 project showed up around here I would buy it now
Just not my daily runner any more so few to no post on 2.5s

OK, ya young bucks. Is there ANY site that has the days before born, maybe a kid, ALL ABOUT the beginning of how got turned on boats? The HISTORY, the crazy old times .."hold my beer, gonna try this". Got wet at 3, be 69 fast and the stories, knowledge the last 66 years now that I know MORE?
PRICELESS! Thanks Greg, Norris, other mods and every damn one ya wackos that make this site worth checking out.................(even the idiots that post such crap, ya GOTTA read it!)
Pic first me the curly headed water bug with dad and brothers boat they built. Yep no oars, as 10 HP Elgin back! Its me, dad, mom, older sis and my brother. Dad gone, Mom gone..and MISSED both daily. See my 83 year old sis tomorrow, and my 79 year old brother too up from NorCal. Damn RIGHT had or STILL do own boats. Sis lived lake but got old and moved, brother still lives NorCal on the water. In our blood, always will be. Then dads Regl

Age... I turned 50 and sold the Allison for a more 'practical' boat (but still a 2.5efi 2 stroke ). I could do a rigging thread but who'd be interested in a rubber boat?
