    tilt trim wiring

    Im trying to put the steering wheel mount trim tabs on my steering wheel there is 3 wires one up one down and one power there is 2 wires from the trim tilt motor how do i hook this up?

    The wires on the switch activate the relays. Red is power into the switch. Green is powet out down (think green like grass) and blue is power out up (think blue like the sky). The relays switch the positive to the trim motor from blue to green (depending on if you are going up or down) and suply ground to the other.

    If you already have a trim Switch t the helm you can just tee into it.

    I havent seen any relays anywhere in my motor? i will try and get some pictures this weekend

    I have a 225 omc also. I hooked up the blinker style trim switches too. It takes 2 relays wired up to reverse the motor. Not hard to do, but I found a diagram to reference. My original relays were bolted to the motor originally I believe. I moved them when I wired it.
