First 28 Skater/400R setup

I think the Partridge is a variable, and could assist with bow or stern lift depending on setup.

Just finished putting my 28 skater with 400r on... boat has ran 125... still tuning it... hope to see 130 this winter in south florida...I love this boat

Yes thats it... there is a longer video with more detail of my boat... keys island runners blog barbie and friends. This was our last trip most recent trip to key west with a few friends and fellow skater friends. we have another event coming this weekend in Key largo.

This is a good question that i was worried about... 300xs weight about 500 pounds, plus the trim pump, oil tanks with oil, and the heavy latham steering. The 400 has a very small wing plate and i think the ram which is included in the sale of a 400r is part of the total weight of 400r. Also the 400r does not have an external trim pump. The actual weight of the motor and accessories is a discussion... I did move the batteries from stern to front bulkhead. I also went from 4 blade to 5 blade to increase stern lift... In answer to your question i dont feel a real upset in CG... I dont beat the boat in heavy seas. So i can not give you that feedback... Im a 1 to 3 seas person. If you asked me do i regret putting 400s on the boat... My answer would be... I regret not doing it years ago...
