Good you spoke to the folks selling it to you. Just goes to show not all epoxy's are the same.

It just takes a while to fully cure, I'm not looking to have the boat running until the end of summer anyway, so it'll have plenty of time to cure. One other thing, this boat has the typical stress cracks in the corners of the transom well. I drilled a couple of holes into the transom, and the wood looks good. Is it possible that the transom is good even though the core is bad?

What would everyone suggest to do the floor in? It's only 24" wide, and maybe 8 feet long. Should I just use the h80 divinicel?

1/2 Coosa cloth lay up on both sides. I made a aluminum plate and drill/taped mounting holes in it for a seat slider. epoxied it down. Then lay up a piece of cloth over it. stick bolts in the holes till just about set up.

May have to make a base....They come with a box that goes side to side that the seats mount to.

I was going to delete the bench and build boxes once I know what seats I'm going with. I was thinking of glassing in 1/4" aluminum plate, and drill/tap it for seat mounting. I have 1/2" divincel h60 left over from another project. Can I use it for the floor? Floor is roughly 2ft wide by 9 feet.

Would work fine..Make a floor panel out of the boat and tab it in.

After talking to several people who know hydrostream, I decided to keep the original seat bench design, but won't make it as tall. Apparently it adds to the rigidity of the boat (ties the boat together across). I'll make it out of divincel, and Glass aluminum plates into the top to mount the seats

I’m going to be doing the same on my viper, great info Thxs. 1 question though, how much materials did you go with. I read about 5gal epoxy resin. How much d-cel sheets and 1708 rolls did you get?
