    Things are moving along

    Finished moving the batteries to the front.
    Batteries - 2 x 44.4lbs = 88.8lbs
    Battery Holders - 2 x 3.6 = 7.2lbs
    Total = 96lbs
    I did glass some 3/4 plywood in to strengthen it up, plus extra material to screw down, probably another 5-10lbs

    I like the blinker style trim behind the steering wheel controlling both motors, so I made a prototype bracket out of wood, and will have my machinist friend make it out of stainless.

    Finish one project, another pops up.................

    Next project straightening out the wiring

    The white 21 looks real nice, seems you already did everything to her, anything left?

    As far as running, at WOT what trim are the motors at, negative?
    I assume you have thru hull water pickups, any chance you can post a pic of them, and any mods to the bottom to work in conjunction with them

    Thanks

    There’s always one more thing to do lol. As far as water pickup I don’t run any. Motors are bolted to the transom and as high up as they can go which is even with bottom. I have the water ramps cut in on bottom of boat. I water pressure issues gauges are always pinned when running fast. I use a lot of trim and about 70mph start coming Down to around level or when it feels planted good. It you go wide open with a lot of trim from 30-40mph boat won’t ever porpoise. And come down at 70mph plus. If your slowly picking up speed the boat will porpoise from 55 to about 70 mph and after 70 rides flat on rails. I had a tunnel tab and that worked great for cruising at 55-70 mph. It had it removed when had painted to save some weight in the boat. Tom Kennedy has the diagram to cut the raps if you message him. Text or call me if you have any questions 6306753792

    Water ramps are not really necessary. I've modified water ramps on a few 28 skaters with 300x. My motors are mounted right on the transom, no setbacks and I've never had a problem with water pressure. As a matter of fact I have three water dumps coming out of my motors. One out of the poppet valve plate and one on each head. (Nice sketch Buzzin)

    my dad cut them in my boat when he owned it. Had same motor overheat and burned it up twice. He cut the ramps and it’s never had that problem again. Think it lost pressure taking long sweepin turns. I thought about filing them when boat was re done. Water pressure gauges are 25-30 psi when taking long curves at 80-100 mph. But I imagine you loose a few mph up top with water directing up to the gear case more.
