Alien cowl question
So I got this cowl and it's aftermarket fiberglass bobs maybe ? It has a homemade alum plate for a 2.5. Is a alien 2.5 cowl the same size as a 3 liter cowl just the plate different? I ask cause I got two skirts with it one is glass like the cowl and is 18 inches wide and a factory plastic merc one is 16 1/2 inches wide ?
I may be slow but im ahead of you. *hit's only ankle deep but you went in head first.

You should be using "blind" rubber nuts that squish down and surround the hole. This is what gives it some shock absortion as well as grip to the pan,and waterproofs the sealing area without a gasket in there. Size used by factory are simple 1/4" x 20 thread

I know the 2 plates are different it has a home made alum 2.5 plate now I bought a 260 cowl and he had this alien for cheap so I bought it just to have later for maybe another project.Could not pass it up cowl pan and two skirts in great shape and local no shipping for 200.00 bucks .
