SOLD. 2002 200XS with Sportmaster low hours

    SOLD

I bought this motor with 84 hours on it and ran it about 5 times since. Excellent condition. Sportmaster fat shaft lower unit. I'd guess it has 100 hours or less. The previous owner was teaching kids to water ski so half the hours were under 1,000 rpm and none over 6,000. I've run it a bit harder but only owned it for the past few months. Located near Raleigh, NC. Asking $6,500. If not familiar, it's a 2.5 liter Optimax. Motor runs flawless. Prop not included. Thanks for looking.

I don't know the weight other than hear say. I've been told these weigh 450 lbs and also been told they weigh 100 more than a promax. I have a hard time believing they are that much heavier than a promax since the compressor and related hardware don't look like 100 lbs to me. I don't have a scale and the motor is still on my boat for the time being. This link says 434 lbs. http://www.nadaguides.com/Boats/2005...20019061/specs. I can say the motor is is excellent condition. I will post more close up pics this weekend.

Yes, 20 Inch. And before folks start asking, I haven't taken compression numbers yet but will try to this weekend. This motor looks and runs like new but I'll check the numbers to make sure.

Yep. It's been running well. Still need to fix leaking rub rails in back. Anyhow, I wanted to update this post. I recently bought a different motor and want to run it before I let go of my 200XS. Wanted to do that last weekend but ran into some problems so hope to run it this coming weekend. Thanks for the interest in the engine. I will follow up with everyone in "order" of response once I've run my other motor.

What zip code is it located in and does the Sporty have the built in factory torque tamer? Thanks
