Not a whole lot of progress, but i did get a few things done this weekend.

    Built an engine stand
Got the engine out of the crate, washed buffed and ceramic coated, and added some vinyl wrap.
Ground down and prepped the top deck
Made a template for the floor and a template for the knees.

Those are nice looking motors. Stand looks very close in design to the ones I make.

I found the plans online and modified it a little bit to make it stronger.

They are nice looking engines pretty simple design cosmetically, compared to whats coming out these days. I added some red to make it sportier looking.

Yea Ceramic coated so it stays that way for a while. Small boats are alot cheaper, Wish I could afford a bigger boat! Thanks for helping me get a good deal and setting everything up.

More templates before I cut the expensive stuff,

I have a debatable question, would you put 1 taller stringer in a boat? Say 1 down the middle or Two smaller ones like this? what would be better in this application? The strakes are solidly filed and glassed over like a mini stringer.

I would consider a short stringer at the center of the keel. 3-4'' tall. Would make the bottom much stronger for riding on keel rollers etc. Could be foam or penske. Could even be made from scraps glassed together.

XstreamVking So you suggest 1 bigger one instead of the two like I have it? or in addition? Gorilla says he would do a Single 4"-5" stringer down the middle, it would be alot easier and the floor would have a much wider area to sit on but idk if 1 big stringer is good in a boat like this. the angle of the hull makes it a real Pain in the ass to get it just right for two ( one on each side) for someone who never done this before, Single down the middle would be so much easier if it would work. I just dont know never built a boat before lol. Just want it to be strong so i was kind of following sharkeys way he built his since i know it worked.

Pics of stringers similar to what im suggesting, based on what Twisted expressed that he wanted out of this build. The single stringer is shorter than his will be. The double stringer pic will be more like it. 4 inch tall 3 inch wide at least. Either way, he's on his way to a solid build.
