Transom is where I would really beef it up for jumping waves and such. Build the trans once and be confident in it not ever failing.
Well, there are a few area that will need repair, looks like gel only, no damage to the glass that I can tell. There's only like 3 spots.

The "star" crack might be at the end of a stringer or bulkhead making contact with the hull on the inside. Other crack looks to be a minor gell crack like you said. If that is all you have, it appears to be good to go. I don't think coring will be needed. imo

Oki will just add a fresh layer of 1708 on the bottom and up the sides. Then reinforce the transom with multiple layers before adding coosa.

This is the only stringer system the boat had, basically a tub premade then dropped in and glassed. Nothing very good. Once that was removed there nothing. That's why I was figuring coring, buy if it's not needed I do t want to waste the money.

Just duplicate the reinforcement placement they had and you should be ok. 4 stringers with a floor over it would be about right. The tall tub uprights gave a lot of strength to the original design.

Ok, Thanks for the help! Got the insidee all hit with the grinder, hopefully enough for some fresh glass to stick.

Looking good , TwzteD !!! Getting one ground down and ready to put back together is no easy feat . But you did it . All of the advice XstreamVking has given you is sound advice . As I'm sure you can tell , this is obviously not his first rodeo and with his support and your wallet and labor I have a feeling that you are going to have that Bullet flying through the air again in no time .

Its getting there, About to order some materials here shortly. Any benefit by going with red MEKP vs clear? Will either of these work or is one better than the other?

You don't need the red. It's for spray systems. You do need to get the correct mek for the resin you are using. Vinyl uses it's own mek. Also a gallon of mek will do a 55 gallon drum of resin. You are using a couple/3 5 gal buckets, get the small mek containers that come with the 5 gal buckets. Mek goes bad quick in the fla heat. You might use at most 2% by volume with the resin.

Thanks for that info, I'm glad you told me, I will be buying 5 gal bucket of vinyl, as far as MEKP is concerned I can't find any info on what one would work, in the description all it says is to use 1-2% MEKp. Should I get 8 oz 16 oz? Will this one work?.
Thanks again for all the help Xstream.

Just call your order in to merritt and they will get you the hardener you need for the vinyl. Usually each 5 gal pail has a bottle of mek in the corresponding amount that they sell with it.

There use to be a video gallery here, long time ago, that had videos of sharkey playing out in the ocean around one of the piers with his bullet.
