They will be installed flat side down , so the opposite direction you see them, they will get squished into putty with the hole covered, then sanded flush to floor and glassed over, there's now way it could push down or move after that. Should be very strong after they are glassed in and be a clean install. One of the main reasons I prefer this method rather than screws and other methods is the fact there's foam under the floor.. this eleviates any possibility of water getting in there from any screw holes or other mounting options.

I got the seat back from the upholstery shop today, tomorrow I get to mock up and drill out the plugs in the deck for the seat, tank and probably the helm. Guy did a great job and was very reasonable, I got some redic quotes and a few reasonable ones but his was best and he came through with a nice product.

Word of advice talk to an upholstery place before bringing them a solid glass seat, if I would have known I would have done things a little different to have it easier. Staples don't like to go through solid glass.

He defiantly put thought into what he wanted. There is a video he posted in another thread that shows one jumping around back in the day. So I can see why he wants it built so good. Boat in video looks like jet ski jumping waves.

Video. He wants to run in the ocean and not worry about anything structurally failing. So it's built like a tank. But lite as poss too.
