3 liter exhaust sound

any mods that can be done to make a 2005 250xs sound a little better, i know it will never sound like a 2.5 but I've herd a few that was close, must be a big secret because i can't find anything, thought about just cutting some of the big azz housing away, any pros or cons to that?

My friend had one a while ago and added some sort of poppet dump, it dumped all the water out before the mid. Out sounded meaner after.

Simons has a poppet dump as Whaaaat stated but I don't know if it will tune the sound...

The sound comes from cutting the can/tuner in the mid. This allows exhaust to exit the big openings in mid just above the lower unit. Pull up the directions from Simon and it shows where to cut it. They sound pretty good after doing this mod.
