I run an old vp cowl on my champ boat with a horn/spacer.

not sure how nass cowl measures up to factory. .... but my measurements current block and cowl it's gonna be tight!

I don't have a front plate there is a piece of flexible hose connected to the cowl. My cowl is the newer version with the naca ducts on the side

Don’t know if this helps . Just know the unit i have , has a horn . Just have no knowledge of mine till next week .

thats a BP cowl....ill probably switch to that cowl once complete....itll give me the removable front plate

That plate doesnt look like its 1", more like 1.5-2! I know with a 1" spacer plate the tip of the horn is close on a 260 cowl not sure about a mod vp.

lil less than 2" ...worst case scenario ill have to put a slide on the front
