Day 2 lighten up the sleekcraft

Interior- tanks- carpet is out. Floor is .750 thick with a lot of resin. It lays right up to the outside stringers. Measures 4x8.like to replace with a light product. Anybody work with coosa board? How about a lightweight ply? I ground down to the wood , seems good and solid.Having trouble with images for some reason.Any response would be helpful.

While plywood is good floor material, it is heavy. The same strength could be achieved by using coosa. A 3/4'' 26# density coosa panel with 1708 on the underside and 1 layer of 1708 covered by a layer of 1.5oz mat on the top would be plenty strong. Wont hold screws so you would have to make a plan for that. Not really a big deal though. 3/4 plywood is 70#'s or so, and with the same glass on it weighs nearly 100#'s. Coosa would come out at about 30#'s less. So it comes down to needing to shed the 30#'s. The cost would be 500 - 600 bucks to use the coosa 1708 and vinyl resin. Slightly more for epoxy resin.
