take a photo of the tilt tube area, from the front looking aft, and or post your model number.
Early engines has a different kit than later ones

your swivel bracket needs the 4 holes in to mount that bracket, hence the question on what year or a photo

We definitely need a good pic of the front of your mota to see just what style of mota you have. A 1986 225 wasent even made in 86

not with the kit shown above you need the earlier version that installs over the tilt tube so you have to remove and refit it.
look up that brp OB accessory page in 1986
there are 2 kits, one for parallel and one for opposite entry cables

they look like bolt on ones, yours needs 2 holes as one holds the new stering tube and the other goes over the original tilt tube.
You can hold the engine up with a hoist and then try to slide the tube out to fit the bracket and then back in.

from the omc page, this is opposite entry but the bracket that goes over the tilt tube is the same.

my cables are on the same side so not sure the opposite entry will work does the pic i sent from ebay look like they will work? do you have a picture of one on a omc motor so i know what im looking at so far im not getting how this all goes together?
