Rebuild!
My little 2.4 went down yest. Not real sure just yet on the cause . Looks like #6 went lean , didn't do a bunch damage tho. Maybe transferred littke aluminum in bottom #6. It's a all chrome motor so I'm guessing prob need a sleeve if hone won t do it?? Anyone have any suggestions to send block to? And also what bout cost sleeving 1 hole and reassembly if I get all parts? If it's to much I do believe strongly I can do rebuild .. I want this done right but still cheap as possible, any info will be helpful. Thanks s&f

Chris Carson has always done right by me. I've Never had a motor rebuilt but I know tons of people have used them with no complaints. He has helped me out many times

With all the problems you been having you best send the COMPLETE powerhead off to someone else to have it gone thru

I would cut the intake while you’re in there and probably shave the heads a little or find a set of 2.0L heads. That and a little light chest work and you should be good to go. Oh, I would also grab some 4 petal rubber coated reed cages and stuff them with reeds from CCMS or TDR! Actually that might be your best bang for the buck, it’s a bolt on! Chris just came out with some “stuffers” that bolt on between the reed blocks and the intakes, may orice those vs cutting the intake.
