It depends on your leak down percentages and your compression increase. Somebody with a phd in physics might could calculate something for you if you had your leak down results, compression numbers, original head cc’s, new head cc’s...

I’m not even going to try to wrap my head around it. It’s just a bad idea. If you have some cut heads slap them on, you’ll be blazing a new path! A path to nowhere, but a new path nonetheless...

Well that's how I found out the issue. Took head off and they were cut so put stock ones on and seen low compression

T-rex used to say you could slick up a steel bore and make it act almost like chrome. This was for using the chrome rings in a chrome motor with one or two steel sleeves...

Well chit. Well its defiantly not slicked up like chrome. Guess my question is if u put chrome cyl rings in a steel cyl (not prepped like chrome) would that give it low compression all over? All 6 is low 90 or below. I'm not trying to save this motor just trying learn thing or 2 I rekon , but if this is the case could b worth lookin into

Chrome bores ran a non plated iron ring. Iron bores used a chrome plated iron ring.

Dont know why why everybody calls them a steel bore, they’re not, they are iron.
