Need help with a name for liquid glass or epoxy
These are my vintage headlight bezels. I had them replated, they are pot metal. Came out fantastic. There were some pits in the triangular section that needed soldering. Which they did. But the buffing wheels are so big that they would eat the ridge off if they held in in there too long. Plus one side has a bubble which I was told to just die grind off. I asked if he could re-doo them. he said they would end up the same except the bubble would be gone this time. I can accept this. He actually thought I was going to paint the triangles so he didn't put a load of effort into them, fyi.
So what I need to do is grind off the bubble. Easy. But I need to fill the entire triangular cavity with liquid glass, epoxy, baked on enamel, something of that sort. I seen it on how its made, when they did police badges. I know its been around for 100 years. I just can't find it or figure out what its called. Maybe i will do orange fill because red in front is illegal. So i know to buy powder pigment. I've seen them fill in these areas using a syringe and you keep filling until its filled to the top and then you bake it and it fuses chemically to the metal background.
So what is this liquid glass, epoxy resin baked on enamel stuff called and where can i find it. I only need a tiny bit.If I don't ask any questions, I'll never learn anything.

Those bezels are available new in chromed plastic, stainless steel and probably aluminum too. Could have saved a heap over replating. The stainless ones can be had for around $40...

Some slow cure epoxy with a lot of tint might work well. Have to use something with little to no shrinkage. I have used imron polyureathane on some small car nomenclature pieces. Worked well but was only a thin film. Used a syringe to apply.
