fuel hose from rail to injector

Got a leak when I push fuel hose that goes from fuel rail to injector. I don't remember exactly how the rubber fuel line attaches to the injector (been a long time and I am really old!). 280 Merc. Don't I just push a new line into the injector? Thanks in advance for help guys. Just getting back into boating after years away. New home on the lake and new tritoon delivering this week. Old guy stuff.

yes they just push on the injector, there is a metal cup like washer that goes on first. Make sure to use high pressure fuel line. Take the filters out if you haven't done so. JMO

I’m having a similar problem, but only leaking on the fuel rail side. Any suggestions on a fix? Thanks in advance.

    According to Tony Brucato:

Dirty screens in the injectors do flow less, but guess what? You must have needed them!
I'll bet that most of the dirt in the screens is from new fuel system instalation, tiny bits of rubber from fuel line and such.

I think that the best bet is to take the screens out and run a good inline filter as close to the fuel rail as possible. It can be a fairly course filter, the small stuff will flow through the injector.

Jay is right. A long drywall screw works great for grabbing the screen.
If the screen gets stopped up that cylinder goes lean! After the injector is not where you want to filter your fuel!
