The group was out of Texas, Rod Forman driver. I tracked down a man in TX that has video of it running but needs to get it out if storage and convert to modern format. For the class I think they did alright. I'll check back again

So any progress on tracking down that video? I can convert it if that is a problem.

I'll try to find out , I think he was in the process of getting ready for a move so maybe? It was tough tracking him down the first time.

Rick Davis was with Chrysler/Force back at that time. I suspect he was involved (if not the designer) of this V6. When I first saw it at the Hartford museum I thought it was a Black Max in disguise. I like some of the features it has such as the thermostat/poppet valve arrangement at the top of the heads. It even has the belt driven distributor like the merc prototypes.
Never up --- never down!!

That motor was first introduced at the 77 trade show, don't think Rick was there, pure Chrysler?
You'd know, I can't recall what he said.
Where's the video of it running during testing?
I was told that a couple different versions, horizontal.
Test had it running very well, Fox lakes system. Witnessed, told me recently not much would catch it.Last edited by FMP; 01-26-2019 at 01:13 PM.
