Before I retired from VW the 2.0L direction injection engine have a major issue with intake valve carbon. I did a lot of decarbonize for misfire issues

Dual fuel systems are in production now (for Ford anyways) to eliminate the carbon issue. Conventional port injection for low speed/low torque demands, high pressure direct injection when needed. Already in use in the new 3.5 ecoboost (Raptor, Navgator, GT), coming soon across the board it looks like.

Yep on the front wheel drive but..., my wife had a 328 ic that I drove the wheels off of.
To the point of having it on two wheels and the anti roll over bars deploying behind the head rests.

My Fusion would have destroyed it! Did everything better including interior.
Was an absolute blast to drive fast.
Brakes that would throw you through the windshield.
Took a while to get used to that.

260 hp's.

Oh yeah, wasn't a V-6, was a 4 banger.

If you're in your Bimmer and a Fusion pulls beside you, keep your wallet in your pocket.

Seen the Ford video/add of the SHO Taurus destroying a Bimmer??
Didnt think so.

BTW, Back in the IMSA GTU days Dodge fielded two identical Stratus factory road race cars.
One FWD and one RWD to see which was better.
Cars turned identical lap times.
