250xb
I hear some talk about the 250XB being one of Mercurys hot set ups. New to the Outboards,andbrunning this on my pontoon. How about some hp tips.

Take it off the pontoon and put it on something fast....LMAOOOOOO sorry i had to....
they were close to the 300 propmax of there time in hp range...reliable if fed a good diet of clean fuel and HIGH OCTANE FUEL ONLY....Very thirsty motors...A lil smiky on firststartup but all in all prob one of mercs best production 3.0 liters....as for making more HP with one the usual host of tricks help, tuners, cut reed cages and CCMS reeds, tighter heads, porting and port timing ETC...but i say leave it alone and let it be its reliable thirsty self....1984 28 ghost twin 200 Yamah ProVs (SOLD)

Alot of people say that,but there is something to be said for a 60mph pontoon boat....its cool! Thanks for the info.

I just like bustin em...honestly i would love a pontoon but here in the salty GSB there not the best for what we do....butvthe thought has crossed my mind sevral times to get one....
