Hey Fellow Boaters
Time to think about the date for the Keys Run. Last year is was Mothers day , that made problems for a lot of people. I think May 19 is the day it should be this year. There are no major holidays that weekend .
So Lets make it MAY 19 -20 .

It has always been Armed Forces Day weekend which is May 19, except 1 time , which was last year, when someone changed the date.

Actually Mitch, I Changed The Date For The Last Two Years Before This Year . Had Nothing To Do With "Armed forces Day" The Action Guys... Action Dave And His Brother... Use To Have It The Week Of Bartenders Week... Because Of The "Scenery" The Bartenders Week Is... UNFORTUNATLY!! No More. Like I Said Before, I Am/Have Been/Just Trying To Keep This Thing Going. If You Can't Get There The Weekend Of Mothers Day Which Is Sunday, PLEASE Take Charge Of This And Change The Date Back To When It Fits YOUR Schedule. I Live 5-1/2 HRS From Islamorada. My Mom Is 91, I Still Seem To Be Able To Make It Home In Time To Take Her To Dinner So, Those Dates Are Not A Problem For Me. Sorry If You Can't Make It... Mike Tyler.

I also remember the run usually being on the weekend of the 19th. In 2013, it was from 5/17/13 to 5/19/13. I do know that recently it has been on Mothers Day weekend, but I don't recall it always being then. It seems like an odd time to have the even as well, why are we intentionally setting ourselves up for trouble with the Mrs?

Let's stick with tradition....Armed Forces Weekend May 19th!!!
Due to hurricane Irma hotels are very limited; throw mothers day into the mix it causes nothing but increased rates and vacancy issues.
Last year it wasn't as big of a turn out to due to the conflicting date.

An official date needs to be released soon for people to start booking their rooms.

Keys Run is going to be May 19 -20 this year. ITS OFFICIAL !!!
Be at the Caribbean Club in Key Largo at 10 am , heading out at 11:30 to the sand bar in Islamerida.

Cant find a reasonable room. With all the hotels that are still closed the ones with rooms are raping their guests. $250 night at Gilberts....no f'n way. Anything decdent is sold out of $400+ a night. Sad and I hope this isnt the future of the Keys post Irma.
