To pour the transom and knees you just need forms to fill. Like so:
'71 Glastron V153 - Composite rebuild - Unceremoniously wrecked
'81 Baja 15 SS - "nine-paged" '77 140
'81 Carlson C500 Metric - Currently in foster care
'70 something Speedcraft - Allison 16R clone - Undergoing restoration
'79 Carlson CVZ 19 - Far back burner

Maybe we could use chopper type and blend mix it in if needed?

The stuff is made from q-cells (light weight resin extender) some milled fibers (strong, but heavy) and cab-o-sil (thickener) from what I have seen of it. There are just so many fillers you can add to resin. You could add chop fibers..Main thing is not to over cataylize the resin and cause too much heat build up. I would suggest several pours, letting each cool off before pouring again.

All seems doable, not sure about leaving it too long between pours. Curing line might be a problem? Seems like a lot of work instead of ply.

I'm not tryin to hi-jack this thread but I always thought that a laminated, builtup transom would be stronger. I am removing ALL the wood from my Checkmate and the transom would be a good canidate for pouring after being gutted. I had be thinkin of using coosa type board in the transom with epoxy and glass cloth. Thanks

What material are you using for the forms ? Don't think there is a weight advantage?

Olboatman, what are you thinking about pouring, trouble is, your MX-13 will come apart fairly easy, Instigator put a new plywood transom in my MX-14, came out sweet. I have a Carlson Contender and I don't think it will come apart, so I'm thinking of pouring it with seacast or arjay.

Poured the transom in my 16R too. 7lbs per gallon cured. Used just under 5 for transom and knees. ArJay compound.
