95 evinrude vindicator
Hi guys was looking for some input on a 95 evinrude vindicator 200hp so I already have a 89 evinrude 225 that I rebuilt and runs great on a 91 charger tv 21ft. But I have an opportunity to buy the vindicator motor as far as I know it runs fine and has been on a bass boat for its whole life my plan is to turn this motor into a high hp motor on a budget was wondering if this is a good bass motor to start with and what mods I can do to get this up in the 250hp or more and if i should even buy the motor. PS I can buy the motor for 1200 canadian

That's pretty cool didn't know that anyone made a finger port sleeve and pistons for evinrude that's a good start but a little on the expensive side if the original positions r fine i was thinking of just re ringing and honing the cylinders but I like that option keep them coming guys

no the drive shaft is a different length on the 89. It will fit but not engage fully into the crankshaft. The 95 vindicator is a std 225 unlike it's cousin the Venom. But it is finger ported and will have better hole shot and potential to get good HP with a few mods.

So what r some good mild mods I know I want to knock down all the slag in with intake ports and maybe knock up the compression by milling down the heads but don't really know what else to do
