300xs

hey guys, i just bought 2x 300xs 2009 engines. i will install them on my 30ft cobra terminator cat.. on my old engines i have 250 outboard with 28 Copper II and i need bigger props and something better than Coppers. i also need engine steering plates for it, because they told me the ones i have on the 250 wouldnt fit the 300xs.
If any1 has props or steering plates please inform me.
and any better ideas on props please

the steering plates should be the same.

aha perfect!! but i want to buy a full steering kit because i think my pump isnt working well

Did you have 250xs motors before? If so reuse the plates and buy a new helm pump. I just rerigged my boat with 300xs and a new Zeiger steering system. I would recommend their steering kit if you are going to buy one. They make a nice product.

nope i have 250 EFI

how much is the zeiger system

There are 2 styles of 3L plates. 300x which attaches to the can and everything else that attaches to the powerhead studs.

my guess is you'll need to go up 2 pitches in prop if you want to stay with 3 blades. I would add more blades! most bigger cats like 5 blades and narrower tunnel boats like 6 blades!
