So many boats have white base with stripes and or graphics. Looks great usually, but I want to do something a little more "automotive" inspired. Maybe just one color, possibly an accent stripe, but something unique.

I have been really looking at some vintage cars and motorcycles for ideas and I really like the color schemes Singer uses for their custom built Porsches.

    What do you guys think?

All blue would look pretty cool. You don't see that with boats very often. All black looks good too but has some drawbacks.

I like like the solid color with an accent stripe or something. It would be cool to see how red would look. I love the look of some of the older red checkmates, red with black up the deck and onto the faring. I wonder if there is a computer program that could allow you to see what colors could look like on the Boat on land and water. I’m nnot t computer savvy enough to figure that out. Keep the updates coming.

did you weigh the boat before going to all composite? I’d be curious to see how much weight was shaved.

Sounds good tom. Maybe on Canandaguia lake, or hopefully will have it rigged and ready for the June 2 Keuka fun run.

I agree, all red can be awesome. This new Nitra in all red looks great. I think we are leaning toward blue or grey?? We didn't weigh the boat, although we believe it weighed about 1,300 Lbs. This one has a solid hull, and since we are leaving the balsa core, I don't think we will see significant weight saving. However, I would guess about 25 to 50 Lbs, not including other weight savings we will have. Boat should be about 100 to 150 Lbs lighter overall best guess.

Simpler is always better - and generally more elegant too. If you want my vote on color, the baby blue and gray look sweet. Red is nice, but way to common. Are you going to do a similar stripe?

Totally agree, simple is the way we are going. I love blue, so that's probably the direction we are going. Although some grey / off white can look cool.

Hoping to get Episode 4 up later this week. Looking forward to getting to the good stuff. This weather is really brutal here in NY though. Still feels like winter, no end in sight.

Episode 4 is up. We talk about colors and a small design change to the transom. We were waiting for some materials, and next episode we will be in the shop to do the transom and stringers.
