I have to put at least two people on the bow when in the water to fill at a marina. On the trailer its fine.

Your vents from the front, we discuss this already. Maybe because it’s a smaller tank it doesn’t like being filled when not more leveled out

thats a off the shelf tank in there maybe he uses a spec tank but all other variations of this boat have fills in the aft end (SB,progression, activator, etc)
    maybe he is onto something

Im sure its just the way the boat sits in the water. A couple other guys with this hull say the same thing. When in florida the guys there who had them said "oh you need some guys on the bow". Rob I know we talked of this and its nothing to do with you but when they weld that tube to the inside top of the tank and you cant see it there is just no way to know its still up there. I've talked to John Gallo at Atlantic Coastal Welding who makes most the tanks for this area and he not a fan of that style. Is what it is.

Good idea putting the fuel fill and vents to the front of the tank and the mid tank fuel sender. To fill mine I do it on a level surface on the trailer. The fuel sender is in the back and reads full till you hit 1/2 tank, the the needle on the gauge will finally move a little. I used a WEMA style fuel sender.

When building tanks it is futile to fight physics. Liquid flowing downhill and all of the air being displaced going up and out is what you have to allow. I always shook my head at the tanks with the fill fitting below the surface of the liquid, and vent tubes running all over under the top of the tank. Built to fail.....The tank shown is close to right. Vent should be nearest the front of the tank, followed by the fill. But it is close enough to work well.

Yes it is physics, but it’s also design limitations. A boat that only has 6” tall stringers now you not only lose 2” of tank height but you also have to notch at least 2” of the stringers to clear the hoses and it’s another inspection/access plate.

Skaters, progression, activator, superboat, just off the top of my head those are boats with the fills in the aft end of the tank and all those boats sit ass heavy.

Yes, I know the dilemma. Built some boats with low floors and short stringers myself.

Well I blew up my 2.4 200 last time out. That was a 20" motor that I had to run way down on the hydraulic jack plate, engine would get wet from the backwash on slow down. I got a 225 3.0 liter 25" motor to run on it now. I'll let you know the difference after the weekend.
