    V4 Losing power under way.

So today i took the boat out and had the strangest thing happen. While going full throttle (which was already 250 rpm off of normal) the boat started slowly losing power. It was exactly like i was lifting a little at a time. Runs perfectly at idle and just above, but has no power when I stab it. Wont get on plane now at all. The bulb is solid, compresion is just a shade under 140 on all and the plugs are good. They are wet, but i had to idle a long way to the boat ramp so its to be expected. Also, when I pushed the key in a full throttle, it didnt make much difference for a second then it slowed. The motor is only about 4 hours into its break in after a full rebuild and it sat for 3 years before that. I first thought maybe the fuel pump couldnt keep up at wot, but since it wont get up on plane at all with a solid primer bulb that's kind of rulled out. Oh yeah, its a 1990 evinrude 120 looper.

Just got back from running it on the river. It seems to be in the carbs. Today when it hung up I pushed in the key and it actually took off. I think I sucked up some trash in my high speed jets and the reason it didnt really work yesterday is because it was only one carb. Also explains why it is good at idle and just above. Now for some good news if youve seen the other posts, It ran a 24 raker today with one person, a full tank of fuel, and all of my tournament gear. Not fast, but Im not gonna open it up till I fix it.
