    Fuel flow analyzer on promax

Acquired a yamaha fuel Flow meter, it's rated for 225hp, would this cause a fuel restriction at high rims at 7-8k rpm
On my 225 promax just checking before installing, don't want to toast new motor

I would be very leery of it until I tested the amount of vacuum it puts on the fuel supply line. Is it a paddle wheel type of sender?

If it hooks up smartcraft style to a depth finder gps with nema buss etc it will be fine. If the sensor is in the bilge connected inline with the fuel hose beware.

A promax at 8k is making way over 225hp, I’d be cautious with it.

I had a faria one on my superboat with a 250 efi. very inaccurate, often many gallons off. Was hoping to replace fuel gauge. Smartcraft with 300x usually within a gallon +-
