    Safety warning-n-control foot throttles

IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE USING AN N-CONTROL FOOT THROTTLE SHARE THIS PLEASE !!!!!!

This maybe an isolated case but still want to share for safety sake. A customer sent me his 4 year old N-Control foot throttle for a retrofit to my EZ FOOT Roller Assembly, I noticed that the spring barrel housing was cracked (see photo), not from any abuse.

Please check yours as soon as possible to make sure yours is not cracked like this one is and share with anyone using an N-Control Foot Throttle.

    Regards,
    Gary

I wonder of that might only be a problem with newer models (N-Control) of the product. I have both the In Control Foot Throttle and Foot Trim pedals in my Progression and they're both original (1992) vintage. Never had any trouble with either of them.

N Control will tell you these foot throttles are for inboard use only to. They told us this last year, so we no longer install them.

Your guess would be as good as mine, I don't know if it's model or year dependant or just a bad run on the brass tubes they used. Not try'n to scare anybody, just want those that have one to be aware and keep an eye on theirs.

If anyone has any problems obtaining these parts as replacements, in either the Throttle Rod or the Spring Housing, I do offer both in one piece Delrin billet material and they're a swap out fit, no modifications needed.

Never could figure out why they made the spring housing and throttle rod out of several different parts and different materials, there's just to much to go wrong when you piece parts together. I make mine out of DUPONT DELRIN POLYOXYMETHYLENE/ POM, they mold gears out of this polymer so you know it's tough.

THROTTLE ROD, mine on the right.
