Watched it this morning, great. Awesome old pics of the area.
This is about as close as we can get up here. A couple local guys and 64 pounder.

We got 8 footers hanging around the marina I work at..... Tarpon are plentiful and compete with snook for the same food...................

The tarpon fishing is my charter mainstay from mid April thru September. A lot of people are waiting for my call to say, they're here! Come on down and get you some....Tarpon is king around here, and where the tarpon go the big sharks follow, and I mean BIG. 15 foot hammerheads. BTW The 1st "recorded" tarpon caught on rod and reel was in SW.Fla. at a little place called Tarpon Bay. On the inside of Sanibel island. The guide that put the angler on the record fish, SAILED a little skiff to the fishing grounds. No motors back then....All the people in the vid except the last guy are friends of mine....

I knew the video was made, watched it for the first time the other morning early before dawn. PBS had it on , they always hide the good stuff to 4:39 am.
