lightening a bobs hyd jack plate
after studying my 10'' 50 lb unit seems lots of metal could be removed via cnc without compromise strength. most is 1/2 thich alum sides; bottom ect. but where engine bolts up its only a thin plate and when all way up im suprised it doesnt snap. i would have thought twice known how heavy. like a 12 bat hanging off back! any opinions guys? mayybe thin slider is special alloy?

why? think about upping your HP instead of tweaking your critical connection to your vessel. fun out

Ive got a 10" bobs byd jack plate and would not even think about trying to make it lighter. Bad idea
