    Setup /prop

Hey guys. Not new to the forum or boating for that matter. I have had same ole boat goin on 15yrs now. I will say that I'm in process of getting a bigger, faster hull but til then This will have to do! Lol This is the 8th motor I've had on it. 1st off. It's a 1988 aries bass boat 15ft and has a 2.4 200 with hydro jack plate, coned lower and 28 small ear chopper. This boat obviously isn't meant for speeds I'm pushing it. I can push it to 80 mph (gps lowrance) but no way to hold it there gets way to crazy. Motor has a whole lot left in it. Is there sum tricks to keep a short boat down and be able to hold that speed? Previous motor was 150 and learned how drive thru chine walk but this exceeds any chine walk. May not be much i can do besides diffrent hull and I do understand that but did t know if someone may had trick up their sleeves? Thanks

Have you tried a 4 bladed like a Trophy, way more stable especially if your surfacing the prop when you have a couple of blades in the water.

There’s so little touching water not sure anything would help. Adding tensions in the system would be about it. Like pad lips.

Does your motor have Solid motor mounts?
    Is there any Steering play?
    Is your Weight centered?

A lot of things to look at when your approaching pad riding speeds.
