CLE bearing carrier
Picked up a cle lower unit and took out the carrier to re seal it and was really surprised at how much more beefy the carrier is compared to my stock 200 carrier that i broke last year. Much more meat all over and even has 2 rear propshaft bearing instead of just 1 .
Also i was greatfull as soon as i started unscrewing the retainer nut it had white grease all on the threads. Also still white grease on the O ring at the gear.the carrier is cast can not see any numbers on it. Is this stock? Or aftermarket?
How do these gears look?

I have a late cle with the beefy carrier. I'd run it, looks good from what I can tell!

Looking again, the wear pattern is a tad close to the toe but wth, it's been running and you don't wanna change it's pattern now! I think you'll be fine!

Carrier is stock for CLE, they came with 2 different size propshafts. 1 1/4" and 1 3/16".

This cle carrier has more meat closing off and restricting the exhause exiting thru it. I have the exhause relief holes in my mid section opened up.to the outter limets of the casting. The w holes at the top of the mid . Should i do some more exhaust relief somewhere to help with getting the exhaust out? Or will it not really matter?
