Boats That Have Been Copied...
Here's one. Copied more than once. The 15 HydroStream Viper. Copied almost exactly, by Skeeter Odyessy back when.

the 380 Laser was copied quite a bit back in the early/mid 80s, the LTV also.

My boat is a copy of a Lake and Bay. Not an exact copy but the entire running surface is a L&B Boca pocket hull. The top cap is different though

One of many lake and bottom copies made...I heard the l&b bottom came from a 20' Sutphen. Jean (orig owner l&b) and Ritchie S. I believe knew each other when racing small boats.
83 V-King, 96 Mariner, 200 hp ff block 2.5 w/a 28p choppa
We gotta clean this liberal mess up, VOTE TRUMP TO MAGA!

Interesting. Not much info on my boat. Radiant Marine which became OOSI a year after my boat was built. I always thought the 21 Action bottom was similar. That 20 Sutphen might've started it all. There are a lot of L&b copies around, I got lucky as I couldn't afford an actual Lake and Bay.

I know little about Lake & Bay Boats, but understand they have a following of sorts these days. Back in about 1982/1983, I went to south miami "somewhere", can't remember where, to the warehouse that Lake & Bays were being made. Was not impressed with their mold work at the time, I remember that. And do remember it was a hull splash. Everything was a splash back then. That style of boat, flats, bonefishing, boats like them...were starting to really take off in popularity, because of the new V-6 outboards that were available.

The 27' Magnum hull has been copied, a couple hundred times... Too numerous to count.
