Offshore Mid

I've seen pics and videos of guys cutting down them fishing motor mids to 15" and some people say it's a bad idea it's in my crack or break..... anybody had bad experiences with a fishing motor mid made to look like an offshore breaking on them.... and anybody know where to get measurements or templates to do the modification ... I really like to look at the offshore mid but it's not really in my budget..... any pics or information on some custom mid would be appreciated.... I don't want to shorten it just want the Offshore look

Never had any problems myself. I still have my experimental "fishing" offshore 20" mid built the right way from many yrs ago. No, not a bobs snout.
Greynester has a 15" fishing midsection in the for sale area.

Yeah I seen that 15-inch mid for sale real nice.... but I'm on a really tight budget with this boat I think I'll add something to the mid that's on there its a Factory mid from the 245.... switching to a 15 in mid will probably be next years projects when I switch from the Bridgeport to the 2.5
