1967 Switzer Craft Shooting Star
I currently have a 1967 Switzer Craft Shooting Star that I am looking to sell. The boat is in need of restoration but has been in an enclosed garage for many years. If you have any ideas on how to reach potential prospects to purchase, I would greatly appreciate you forwarding my e-mail contact information jshort@pabst.com
Thanks

I realize this post thread borders on old news, but I now own the red Star that Mr. Nelems once owned and recently had it at the AOMCI NAtional event in Tomahawk Wisconsin. Here is a shot of it at the ramp. It really turns heads when I go to local car shows towing it behind my 1968 Torino GT. Not many muscle cars with trailer hitches!

390 - 4 speed, factory engine chrome, dash tach, console, aftermarket air. 3:50 rear and 31 spline axles, came stock with a 3:23 open/ 28 spline, I kept all those parts as it could go back to original. Have the Marti report, Owners Manual, and original owner card still attached to the cardboard from Ford! Mag 500's were not an option until 1970 I think - I have the original rims and GT caps and trim rings also. Bottom of car is detailed. Catch the aftermarket leaf spring helpers underneath? Except for mufflers, it still has original Ford dual exhaust and the smog pump and lines -

Nice. Yeah I think the most common engine in that GT was the 390 at the time. Nodular Iron 9"? Yes, they were all low in the back. That looks better though. Most used to do the airshocks. You are correct on the Magnums. Well, they came on the Boss Mustangs/Cougars in '69. The chrome GT caps/wheels were the standard. Staggered rear shocks? Not many around anymore that clean. They all rusted. GT 390 engines came with chrome valve covers, correct?

That's a beautiful car Bernie. Any chance we can see some interior and engine shots? My father had a white '69 Torino Talladega that he bought brand new from one of the local Ford dealers who was his buddy. They actually went up to Atlanta Ga to pick it up for some reason. I thought it was funny that this "race car" had a bench seat and automatic trans, and the nose stuck out so far it looked really funny. It also had a 428CJ that wasn't exactly setting the world on fire... I'm pretty sure the race cars had 427s, but I don't know enough about that stuff to say for sure. I begged him and begged him to keep it so I could drive it when I was old enough, but to no avail. Oh man, if I just had a time machine...

Peter Switzer here, I had a 1968 Shooting Star with a 125 short shaft. I sold it a few years ago for $6500. I should have kept it. They are a fun boat, fast, but they do not turn well!

Just some shots of the Emerald Dancer taken at Tavares. I spun it in one corner thanks to pleasure boat wakes coming across the course. They didn't shut down the pleasure boat traffic! Big mistake on race committee's part. I was thrown out of my seat and cut my ankle on the Hot Foot. Accidently pulled the laynard and killed the engine!
