Ryno, Yes humidity is a nightmare here during the summer but in the winter most people here make personal bests. Dry cool air and sea level makes great HP. Its just hard to see those times when you do the numbers. That weight and HP is hard to make a pass in the 10's. Not saying it cant be done but i am scratching my head on it

Boosted engines are addictive, especially supercharged with no lag. Not trying to draw comparisons, but I have a fwd Buick with the supercharged 3800 v6, and it will destroy the tires if floored anywhere under 70 km/hr, and passing is effortless. Going to be hard to go back to an NA car after having all that torque!

Those Rivs and Ultras are nice, never saw one in a Regal.

I think the reason these 9 and 10 second cars run 11.20's in real life , must be the same reason 100+ mph boats go 92 out on the bay ....
Cept for at the track , everybody can see the scoreboards ...
Just sayin ...

Hoping to take my 4 door Charger sedan to the track this spring. Will most likely go to 18" wheels and Mickey Thompson Street R as that seems to be the ticket. The Nittos are good for daily driving but don't 60 foot nearly as good as the MTs.
Interesting to note is the 4 door Charger is only about 70 pounds more than the 2 door challenger, but has a higher top speed with better aero... a few bone stock charger cats went over 200 mph down in FL last fall at the space center run!

It's all about traction , If you can't hook it up , what good is it .
The more something weighs the harder it is to hook up.
I wiped out a 64 Vette racing a 440 6 pack Cuda 1972 , went over a newly installed rubber diagonal Rail Road track crossing , The guy I was racing turned
around and took me to the hospital, He could not believe I had a 327 in it (that I helped build , I was 18 and daddy did not buy it) He said you were pulling on
me! I don't believe it (was not stock) ... It's all about power to weight and being able to hook up what you got.We have invented the world; WE see

Yep,
Even at ~14" wide, the wife's viper will break loose in 1st, 2nd, up to about 70 mph.... It's all the torque from the 8.4 liter V-10! 1 of the craziest things I have ever driven, and it still gives the rush it did when we 1st bought it. And I have done 202 in it with the top up.....
