NO , for bone stock it's a winner. You need a bunch of mods to keep up.

You really can't compare a highly modified grand national to a stock hellcat. On its best day, the GN was a 13 second car with just sticky tires. I have seen stock hellcats with only sticky tires run mid 10s and have seen the cats run deep 9s with tires, pulley, and race gas. Less than 2 grand in mods....

First an 11 in a GN isn't highly modified, just a few things. The point was for a bone stock car it's a winner, the Chrysler.

Ya really need 4 wheel drive to use the power
With the new diesel trucks you have to switch into 4 high or your just wasting rubber, with 900 lbs of torque
A Tesla Roadster is good for 8.8 in the 1/4 , 250 mph but it cost $200,000We have invented the world; WE see

Next time you see that I hope you are able to video it. I go to the the track here all the time and have yet to see a hell cat run anywhere close to 10's This could be due to nobody here knows how to hook one up or maybe they are all stick shift. The weight kills this awesome engine IMO. Aren't they around 4500 lbs? 707 at the crank equals a little over 600 at the tires. I just cant see a 4000 plus lb manual shift car can run 10.50 with 600 to the rear wheels. There's a certain yellow vette with LS3 super charged on this coast that weighs 3200 puts down 750 to the wheels,is automatic and runs in the mid to high 9's at over 145 mph pass after pass. when it was 650 to the wheels it ran 10.50's all day but weighs 3200. Thats about 1000 lighter. Dont get me wrong I would love to see one run that well but have seen many many hell cat passes and none of them ran what they claim.
With that said,Congrats Mr. Burger King Have fun with her and be safe. Im sure that power feels like a rocket ship and puts a smile on yo face. Am I jealous? Hell yeah!!!!
Are you seriously planning on towing the boat with the hell cat? I used to tow my boats with my Ford Lightning and my Harley edition f150 both super charged and built. I had to run at least a 96 octane mix to keep them from tip in throttle detonation. You could hear the detonation under that load otherwise. Although I was 17 lbs boost it could be done but had to mix 93 pump gas 50/50 with 102. You might have to put in some adjustable coil over shocks too Also take the Nitto Drag radial advice. They work and you will have more fun rippin around town for sureRob Lankford

In about 1973 I bought a 1969 Vette Daytona yellow that had a L88 in it , by had I mean I bought the car with out a motor in it
The guy owned a few restaurant's in the Buffalo area, those motors were built in the Tonawanda motor plant , The guy replaced it with a Pantera
That he forced me to drive, telling me how fast to take each corner at . He blew up the L88 .

just kidding on the towing. i have a h2 pickup style hummer and Lisa daily driver of choice is a 2017 f250 crewcab diesel. after getting her a 2005 f250 i cant get her out off one. after 05 was a new 08,13,14, and now the 17. so we have local towing covered with my hummer any out of town i will ride in the Ford. ( ford is ok as long as my friends dont see me in one)
hummer looks like it was meant to tow it.

Hotshot, maybe the humidity down there is killing their times?? Up here in Michigan we get some good D.A. in the spring and fall. Many, many stock cats with DRs hitting high 10s. They are rated at 707 crank, but everyone that has hit the dyno put down 640 to 660 on average. Maybe underrated crank horsepower or the trans is very efficient.... My guess is a little bit of both. There is lots of info on another forum but not sure I can link a car forum to this thread??
