Picked up the new skid for the DW28 today. I will be making a run to TX. to pick it up this week and then dropping it off at Doug Harrels for some lipstick to be applied. It looks like it will get rigged and run with a pair of X motors until the new 300Rs become available. We are going to make a thrash run at it for the shootout but not holding my breath on it coming together.

The trailer just got done last Friday. Like every project, they are time consuming. The boat has been sitting completed for way to long.

Sorry - I was referring to what has happened to the outboard options available since April.

I have 300R motors coming for it but they won't be here in time for the shootout (assuming that everything else gets done) so it will most likely get rigged with a pair of 15" X motors that I have waiting to go on my skater.

They are hand laid and dry rolled. If you look at the pictures in this thread, you will see that the build crew is passionate about their work. The boats weighs just under 2000 lbs. with the tanks in and are fully cored with composite.

I made a run to TX. and back to pick it up the DW28. The next pictures of it will be at Doug Harrell's shop getting paint. After 2600 miles in 72 hours gives me a great deal of respect for Frank Mole.

The trailer looks like it is just right. You didnt have to cut the bunks down?

It was a nice surprise to see it set on there. I was sure that there was going to be a big gap between the fender and running surface but its perfect.
