I'd love to see a 24' version of this boat, since Skater no longer fills that niche.

Talk to Todd Lamb at Spectre Powerboats (http://spectrepowerboats.com/?fbclid...WagNz6iYvrDCMw), he is still building what is a revised 24 Skater.

Definitely a good looking boat. I wonder if the deck could be modified to accommodate a windshield. The deck was the only thing I didn't like about the Skater 24.

I'm too old to have 100mph wind in my face

If you look at this new deck, it has been modified to bring the windscreen higher for better protection.

I agree 100%. Also the tunnel needs to widened as so many cats have become "wider" over the last 40 years since that boat was designed. Here is a real life example of the updates that I am talking about. The small boat is my 24 Skater "a long time project" You can see the composite replacement fuel tanks standing up in the background of the second picture. The larger boat is a 30 Spectre that a friend of mine has the done the same thing to "flat deck, widen, windshield, etc." It has gorgeous lines and is going to be a show stopper when he is done and has it rigged with 300Rs. He has done this project in a short time period and gave the boat a whole new life.

That new deck for the 24 is very similar to what I was thinking. I squashed down and simplified the deck from a WP360 to get something similar. It's not exact, but it get's the idea across.
